Absolutely true. You don’t explain basic respect and human decency to an adult. You don’t teach adults what’s right or wrong. You let them act anyway they like, observe their behaviour and act accordingly.

Can definitely vouch for this. She came into my life pretending to be abandoned and vulnerable, said she was struggling but then stung me for thousands and left me in huge debt. Never showed any concern or compassion about my financial situation, the fact I took out loans and credit cards to help her, even took out a loan against my flat. All I got is more guilt trips and dry-begging. They literally do not care at all, we're just suckers for them to rinse, and when we've run dry they'll leave us for dead and go on to the next sucker. Horrible experience and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Don't date until you completely figure out what got you in that toxic relationship, was it only the ignorance to narcism? Or you might additionally work on improving yourself and your perception. Also, how did you know I don't have any apps 😂, some of the best relationships come unexpectedly and not by choice anyway.

He drives by my house Twice a day to go to work and come home. HELP!!!! I’m grey rocking this asshole.

I seem to have some of the hyper-sensitivity traits of an "empath" (or just someone with hyper-sensitive mirror neurons) in the sense of being hyper-aware of how others around me feel (very sensitive to their body language), but I'm always worried I might have some of those dark triad traits of what might be colloquially called the "dark empath". With your bee analogy, I would want to gently suggest to leave the room while I gently coax the bee out of a window. I wouldn't want to cover your eyes since I would be worried I might be overbearing that way and touch you in a way you didn't invite unless we were really close. So I would pick something closest to the "empath" option you proposed since every other option seems cruel to me and would eat away at my conscience. But here is where I get worried. I don't have this problem now since I'm married and adore my wife, but when I was single, I might at least partially want to impress you if you were also single in hopes of getting a date. I wouldn't expect it, of course, but I might hope this helps my odds. Even if you weren't attractive or a guy, I might at least hope we could become good friends. When I carefully select a gift for my friends, I do take joy in their happiness but I'm also hoping they will like me more for it. I don't expect it since that seems unreasonable, but I do hope for it. Is that abnormal? I keep hearing that we should be good for goodness sake and I sometimes worry that I can't do that. I keep guessing and second-guessing my motives and always seem to find what might be an ulterior motive in everything I do. Even if I risk and sacrifice my life to save someone from harm's way, there is that fantasy of wanting to be celebrated as a hero long after I'm dead and ultimately vanity which seems to motivate at least part of that action. And that's one of my greatest fears in life is that even with the noblest things I've done for others, maybe I'm still doing them for not entirely the right reasons. One of the problems I have with the hyper-sensitivity thing is that seeing people happy genuinely makes me feel happy, like I'm absorbing their energy. Even seeing a complete stranger look so happy tends to make me smile a little bit like some form of mimicry; in the same sense, seeing a complete stranger look real sad or angry tends to make me sad or angry. So it always feels a bit selfish to me to do anything that makes others happy since I gain so much personal gratification from it. The most selfless things I can possibly do still seem to ultimately be selfish in that respect.

It's not just romantic relationships. It can be narcissistic friends who come round your place, eat and drink themselves under your table but never even bring a can of soda or bag of chips. They also hang back or go to the bathroom when it's time to pay in bars and restaurants. Greedy yet stingy.

This isn't always necessarily so. Some narcs are so patient that they are willing to temporarily go along with your boundaries in order to win their long game. Moreover, many of them are well versed in the techniques that are used to expose them.

  • @MarkAble8

Or they simply fly into a rage. Hair-trigger tempers over simple things must be noticed. In the case of narcissistic women, don’t ever allow or enable their rotten behaviour when with you. They must be told no, because every little tantrum you allow them to get away with, they will destroy you. Better yet, turn your back on them and never get involved with them in the first place. Strong self loving boundaries must be communicated.

Three more, probable narcs, post divorce... As a man in his 60s I've found that most of the available, single women in my age group are the ' leftovers'. .... Toxic / narcissistic etc. I've now given up and enjoy being single. Thanks for the video. 🙂

If you happen to be dealing with a covert narcissist, something you may experience in place of what this woman is saying is this will be one of the very rare instances where the person tries to be convincing or seductive or enticing When that seems to fail such a person seems to flip into collapsing and attempting to get validation and reassurance from you, which can then go to either them raging , devaluing you, or just ghosting right from in that moment
